THE THIRD ANNUAL

Neighborhoods Day: Renewing The Village

Don’t miss out!

Start planning now and register today to have your block club, organizations, church or business group host an event as part of ARISE Detroit! Neighborhoods Day, a great new annual tradition for Detroit.

By Mayoral proclamation, ARISE Detroit! Neighborhoods Day is now an official Detroit citywide observance on the first Saturday of every August.

Do a community cleanup, have a neighborhood picnic or parade, recreational activity or sign up volunteers for your community programs. In neighborhoods all over the city, Detroiters will be reconnecting with a new spirit from the far east side to the far west side, from downtown to midtown.

On the second annual Neighborhoods Day, on Aug. 2, 2008, more than 100 events were held in neighborhoods and parks all over the city.

Show your pride and help renew the village! Sign up for the third annual ARISE Detroit! Neighborhoods Day on Aug. 1, 2009.
